Summer SEED and GROW Programming is Beginning!
Summer Programming has Begun!
GROW Careers is off and running! Cohort A began with 4 interns placed at local social impact organizations. There will be 2 additional cohorts this summer. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis, so if you know someone who is interested, send them out way!
76 youth participants will participate in the SEED Skills Crew this summer! The first 4-week session begins Monday and we couldn’t be more excited! Team Trellis has been gearing up for an engaging, inspiring, and impactful Summer 2022!
Welcome to Team Trellis!
Introducing Nate!
Trellis’s is thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team! Nate joins us as Youth Development Manager. He’ll be getting his hands dirty in the SEED gardens this summer, working with Trellis youth and volunteers. Nate brings a variety of experience to his work with Trellis, including time as a DCNR Ranger and with the Appalachian Mountain Club. We’re so happy to have Nate join Team Trellis!
Food for All in 2022!
Trellis’s Food for All program is expanding again this summer. We’ve added 2 new partners, for a grand total of 21 gardens in 2022. ALL gardens have been planted for the summer season, with harvests already being donated to neighbors in need.
Thanks for joining us on a HOT May day for our Garden Getdown!
We hope you had as much fun as we did kicking off the fun in the Don Coppedge Village garden, following the Trellis truck in the parade, and joining the Dogwood Festival in Reeves Park! For those whole couldn’t make it, stay tuned for future fun events!
