Grace Hardy

Program Manager

Grace is a Program Manager at Trellis for Tomorrow. She works on all aspects of managing our communication and relationships with the youth and also serves as a youth leader for Youth Seed Enterprise.  Grace comes to Trellis for Tomorrow with a background in outdoor leadership and environmental education. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI she completed two years of service with AmeriCorps through the Maryland Park Service. During this time, she worked on conservation projects, trail maintenance, and providing educational programming to park guests. As an AmeriCorps member, she also worked with the Conservation Jobs Corps to manage groups of teenagers working on park improvement projects during the summer. From there, she moved to Baltimore where she became a field instructor with Outward Bound. In this position, she taught leadership and self-discovery through 1-2 week-long backpacking, sea kayaking, and canoe expeditions. After moving to Philadelphia, Grace began taking horticulture classes through the Barnes Foundation. It is her continued love of the outdoors and new interest in gardening that lead her to Trellis for Tomorrow, where she has jumped head-first into all things related to youth programming.
